    New Findings


    fanficbug :iconfanficbug: was so kind as to provide a very useful link [link] on Copyright laws and infringements and what to do about them. There's lots of information there, well structured and easy to understand. We can all profit from it. Thanks, fanficbug!

    After reading Moonbeam13's :iconmoonbeam13: journal I went to Flickr and typed my deviant username in the searchbox. Surprise! Several fractals of mine appeared in a stranger's gallery, along with the fractals of many other dA members. I just noted them all but I felt I should write a journal entry about it. You see, rippers never tire!

    The Evidence


    So you can see by yourselves, go to: [link] . It will take you directly to the ripper's album. I suggest you also type your dA username in the searchbox and see what you come up with. You never know what's in the candy box.

    I reported the ripping to the Flickr site administration and apparently they are quick to react. I'll keep you informed.

    In spite of the petitions and the commotion the ripping caused, some galleries in Photobucket still display -and print- other artists' works. If you haven't signed yet, please click on this link [link] to sign a petition urging Photobucket to stop this practice. Thousands of petitions have been signed already. It's worth the couple of minutes it takes to go through the procedure, we are all potential -or actual- victims of the ripping.



    Featuring: Zardo

    Today I'd like to feature the work of one of my favourite photographers, zardo :iconzardo:. He is an HDR (High Dynamic Range) photographer and viewing his gallery is like walking in a dream, where the world that surrounds us is deeper and richer in meaning and light. His camera seems to reveal the mysteries hidden in the walls, the streets and the countryside. Secret essences that are inadvertently trapped in images, where they vibrate, undulate and allude to a different reality. I'm sure you will enjoy his creations.
