Artist's Comments

The first of three fractals postworked in Photoshop and Painter 8.

The background layer is 100% fractal, created in UF. The upper layer is 100% digitally hand-drawn and coloured, with the addition of a filter effect.

My idea was to create lively, colourful images with a certain naïve air to them. The drawn part is certainly not perfect, it only meant to be cheerful and evocative. These are decorative images, not "serious" works of art -though I wouldn't know where exactly to set the boundaries =D

The titles also agree with my "naïve" intention, no playing with words, no allusions. This is a tree with leaves. I hope you like it.

Absolutely amazing - and very much more than just "casual" or naive! I'd say the precision with which you have worked, and the way you have thought out the composition is extremely professional!
